Meet Our Team!
Rachel McKee, PhD

Dr. Rachel McKee (she/her/hers) is a clinical psychologist dedicated to supporting you, your child, and your family. She devotes ample time to building strong, genuine relationships so that clients and families feel comfortable, understood, and engaged. She has extensive training in both therapy and psychological assessment, offering thorough, evidence-based evaluations that clarify learning, attention, emotional, and developmental concerns and guide personalized care.
Her therapeutic approach is flexible, adapting to the unique needs of clients and families. With kids, she blends discussion, problem-solving, play, and parent involvement to foster emotional insight, reduce problem behaviors, and build resilience and connection. With adults, she provides a collaborative space to explore patterns, navigate stressors, and pursue meaningful change. Common areas of focus include anxiety, depression, ADHD and executive functioning concerns, emotional regulation, school and performance difficulties, self-esteem, and relational and parenting challenges. Dr. McKee’s work is grounded in an affirming framework, recognizing and respecting the many ways individuals experience and process the world.
Dr. McKee earned her PhD in School Psychology from Louisiana State University, where her training emphasized comprehensive assessment and evidence-based psychological treatment for children, teens, and adults. She draws on this background to partner closely with families, schools, and other providers, creating coordinated plans of care that help clients feel supported across all settings.
Outside of the office, Dr. McKee enjoys spending time with her family. Some of her favorite activities include bike rides, kayaking, arts and crafts, reading, and exploring the community.
Dr. McKee currently has availability for psychological assessments as well as
a limited number of new therapy clients.
Jessica Suarez, LCSW-A
Jessica Suarez (she/her/hers) is a clinical social worker
who believes counseling is a place where people can pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, creating spaces that feel safe, supportive, and rooted in respect. Jessica completed her BSW through Texas A&M University and her MSW through the University of Texas, with a direct focus on children and families. Her approach draws on evidence-based practices such as CBT and DBT, while always honoring the unique story, strengths, and goals each person brings.

Jessica knows that people come to therapy for many reasons; sometimes in seasons of difficulty, and other times simply to grow, reflect, or strengthen relationships. No matter the reason, she offers a steady, compassionate presence and sees therapy as a collaborative journey toward healing and growth.
After moving from Texas, Jessica and her husband are now raising their four children and their four dogs here in North Carolina. She has quickly fallen in love with the community and is excited to put down roots here. Outside of her work, Jessica enjoys being outdoors, finding joy in everyday family moments, and connecting with others in ways that remind us we’re not alone.
Jessica currently has availability for new therapy clients.
Alex Neinast, LCMHC-A, CRC
Alex Neinast (she/her/hers) is a licensed clinical mental health counselor and clinical rehabilitation counselor in service to supporting your well-being. She views therapy as the collaborative practice of recognizing that you are inherently whole and deserve to live a life of integrity, on your own terms.

Alex spent a decade in STEM prior to receiving her MS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling program. Her lived experience with disability and existential
exploration has informed her clinical experience, which draws from ACT, CBT, DBT, trauma-informed, and integrative methods. Alex's approach seeks to uphold the psychological balance and integration of adults and teenagers navigating disability, life transitions, anxiety, substance use concerns, spirituality, and all of the experiences of existence. Together, we will focus on what matters most to you, and how to find joy in the creative process of your unique lived experience.
As a central Texas transplant, Alex loves exploring the mountains and beaches of North Carolina. She lives with her partner and cat in Chapel Hill, where she finds fulfillment in tending to the garden, engaging in low-stakes art projects, and reading too many books at one time.
Alex currently has availability for new therapy clients.
